  Meine Atari Jaguar-Games...

Meine Atari Jaguar-Games alphabetisch sortiert:

Air Cars [4 von 10]
Air Cars Designed by Midnight Entertainment Group in 1995, ICD released Air Cars in limited numbers. No real box was made, but the cartridge included a label and manual, along with a picture of what the overlay might look like. This is an action/battle game in which you must destroy enemy bases while in your Air Car, and it supports up to 8 players using CatBoxes or 2 players using a JagLink.

Alien vs. Predator [9 von 10]
Alien vs. Predator This is one of the most popular Jaguar games, and for good reason. It's one of the system's best titles, and was exclusive to the Jaguar when it was released. Alien vs. Predator, or AVP, was set to be released at as a launch title for the Jaguar, but it was unfortunately delayed for a year. This first person shooter, in which you may choose to play as a Space Marine, Alien, or Predator, was probably responsible for selling a number of Jag consoles by itself.

Atari Karts [6 von 10]
Atari Karts Overall, Atari Karts is not a bad game, but it's not the best either. It's fun to play for a while until you begin to notice the flaws and showstoppers. Like so many other Jaguar games, Atari Karts could have used a bit more development time. A few more weeks could have made this average game outstanding.

Attack Of The Mutant Penguins [7 von 10]
Attack Of The Mutant Penguins In the distant galaxy of Bleurggh, an evil (but reasonably stupid) band of aliens picked up some of Earth's television signals. Unfortunately for them, they could only tune in a wildlife program. They figured the Earth would be a pushover to invade, so they disguised themselves as it's inhabitants- penguins! Word of the invasion has reached those champions of intergalactic do-goodery, Bernard and Rodney. Now, with their help, you must prevent the alien mutant penguins from triggering the Doomscale and destroying the Earth. Are you up to the challenge?

Baldies [6 von 10]
Baldies Ever want to rule the world? With Baldies you have the resources, but do you have the strategy and skill? Build your own society with workers, builders, soldiers, and scientists, and use them to conquer enemy territory. When it comes to killing your foe, creativity is highly encouraged. You can skunk'em, drown'em, blow'em up, and electrocute'em. The only limit is your imagination. Plan your attack well. The enemy is trying to do the same to you!

Battlemorph [8 von 10]
Battlemorph Great graphics, sounds, music, and less Skylar make for one extremely fun game! The draw distance is much greater and the game has a larger variety of missions, terrains, and weapons. You even travel underground and underwater to achieve your goals. BattleMorph is a remarkable upgrade over Cybermorph. The graphics, music, and control are superb. You won't be disappointed.

Battlesphere [10 von 10]
Battlesphere The gameplay in BattleSphere is so good you’ll think you’re piloting a Viper fighter from Battlestar Galactica. There are a lot of controls to get used to but it won’t take long before you’re barrel-rolling through explosions and dodging blasts from the ejected pilots. I can’t think of a game where the controls were so absolutely perfect.

Blue Lightning [4 von 10]
Blue Lightning Blue Lightning could have been a simple, no-nonsense blast-a-thon, but numerous unfriendly features turn it into a frustrating chore instead. The graphics and sound are sufficient for the job, but they don't help draw in the player by any means. Devotees who take the time to work with the game's shortcomings can find some thrills, but most will prefer to stay grounded and avoid the hassle.

Breakout 2000 [6 von 10]
Breakout 2000 All things considered, it looks like B2K is a nice addition to the Jaguar library of games. It's not Tempest 2000 by any means, but it is well-done nonetheless. Unfortunately, most of the gaming public will never get to see this game due to its limited release.

Defender 2000 [8 von 10]
Defender 2000 While it's not perfect, in the end Defender 2000 is a great action-packed title that will keep most players engaged for a long time. Its few flaws are relatively trivial; taken on its own merits, this cartridge is an engrossing experience that offers something for both older purists and young gunrunners. With fast, fluid graphics, crisp sounds, heady music, precise controls and lots and lots of warfare, Defender 2000 is recommended for devoted action gamers everywhere.

It's Doom to the 64th power with 16-bit true colour, advanced lighting effects... and some new parts of Hell you'll wish we didn't include in this version.

Double Dragon V [1 von 10]
Double Dragon V The graphics are, in a word, horrible. This game could have been done on a SNES with the same graphical flair. Maybe even a NES. The sound effects and music follow suit. The control is as stiff as the characters move, and the characters balance is way off.

Quelle: AtariTimes

Dragon's Lair [6 von 10]
Dragon's Lair Dragon's Lair is a fairly accurate port of the famous laser disc game from Don Bluth. The graphics are good although not as clean as the original, and you are also forced to complete each stage before you move on, rather than randomizing scenes after a death as in the arcade game. For those who haven't played the game before, Dragon's Lair is basically an interactive cartoon wherein you control the main character by making certain movements at the right time.

Evolution: Dino Dudes You have to guide your cavemen through their lives discovering spears, fire, and the occasional T-Rex who enjoys biting the heads off of your dudes. Quelle: AtariTimes

Fever Pitch Soccer [6 von 10]
Fever Pitch Soccer Unfortunately, the game plays way too fast, much like Troy Aikman Football. It is difficult to control due to the speed, and the ball is too easily kicked out of bounds, or lost to an opponent because of how fast the game is playing. As for the players, they are way too small, and there are just as many blondes on the Swedish team as on the Japanese team.

Quelle: AGH Jaguar Review

Fight for Life [8 von 10]
Fight for Life The game does have some good looking graphics. The polygon characters are somewhat blocky, but the tex-mapping is well done. Background graphics are nicely done, but the floor definitely leaves something to be desired. Thankfully, the animation moves along at a brisk pace, and the special moves are fun to watch.

Hover Strike [6 von 10]
Hover Strike Hover Strike is not an action game for players who like their combat nonstop and uncomplicated. Rather, the challenge of driving a hovercraft and the measured pace of many of the missions make this a game for folks who want to exercise their brains along with their thumbs. With nice graphics and better sounds, this is a very good -- though not totally earth-shaking -- game for the Jaguar.

Hyper Force [8 von 10]
Hyper Force Hyper Force is a fun platform shooter with exceptional sound and extremely large characters. You'll spend the first few levels exploring space caverns, jumping ledges, shooting robots, collecting items, avoiding traps, and searching for some very elusive switches. The stage designs are a bit uneven, with some that are difficult to clear and others that seem to end prematurely. Hyper Force has a LOT of secret areas, so always feel around the walls and ceilings. Your enemies include a wide array of robots, and they look pretty cool.

International Sensible Soccer [7 von 10]
International Sensible Soccer This game surprised me, both in terms of graphics and gameplay. Instead of trying to be realistic, Sensible Soccer features tiny, cartoonish players. This allows you to see large chunks of the field at a time, making it easy to locate your players and pass the ball. The action is smooth and fast, giving the game a very arcade feel.

Iron Soldier [9 von 10]
Iron Soldier Iron Soldier is a very fun game. The graphics are good, but could have been better (ie MORE texture-mapping.) Sound is okay and the music is good. The most important part of any game isn't it's graphics or sounds... Rather the addictiveness & playability. And Iron Soldier definitely has those in spades. If you don't have a copy of this game, what are you waiting for?

Pinball Fantasies [8 von 10]
Pinball Fantasies It's tough to be critical of a game that simulates pinball so well. The action is fast and smooth, and the physics is very realistic. There are four big tables to choose from, all loaded with targets, lights, tunnels, etc. You control the plunger, the flippers, and even have the ability to tilt. The tables smoothly scroll up and down as the ball moves. If there's anything to criticize about this game, it's the table selection.

Power Drive Rally [8 von 10]
Power Drive Rally Here's a nifty little overhead racing game with sharp graphics and a pumping soundtrack. Actually, the camera is not directly overhead, but tilted slightly so you can get a nice view of your car. The graphics are not true 3D, but the cars and backgrounds are so well rendered that they appear to have depth. The cars look like toys, and this game is like playing with a remote controlled car.

Primal Rage [8 von 10]
Primal Rage his is one of those games that looks and sounds spectacular, but once you start playing you realize that there's very little under the surface. Still, I must admit this is the best version of Primal Rage I've seen on a console. This one-on-one fighter features dinosaurs and apes battling in a post-apocalyptic world. I love the look of this game, especially the intro. The creatures were motion-captured from clay figures. They look awesome, but the animation is pretty choppy.

Raiden [8 von 10]
Raiden Overall, this game is great! I play through it all the time and have a great time doing so. One of my friends remarked that this feels like a "Raiden Remix" because the music is refreshingly different, the stages seem different, and some of the backgrounds have been changed or made better.

Quelle: AtariTimes

Rayman [10 von 10]
Rayman Rayman delivers no new ideas to the platform game genre; instead, what it offers is the flawless execution of existing elements -- precise controls, clever levels, friendly gameplay, gorgeous graphics, and crisp sounds -- all wrapped around a design which actually taxes the mind along with the thumbs.

Ruiner Pinball [7 von 10]
Ruiner Pinball The screen scrolls smoothly as the ball zips around realistically, and the table scales out nicely when multiple balls are put into play (oh yeah!). You can nudge the tables, but it’s very easy to tilt, so be gentle. All high scores (and settings) are automatically saved to the cartridge. If Ruiner has one weakness, it’s probably the lame background music. It’s pretty sparse and you probably won’t even notice it. Overall, Ruiner Pinball is an underrated game, and I’d definitely recommend it to any Jaguar owner.

Skyhammer [10 von 10]
Skyhammer This pushes the Jaguar to the limit. The aircraft shooter takes place in a Bladerunner-inspired city with buildings, narrow corridors, and neon ads plastered all over the place. The level of detail in the graphics is remarkable, and the city itself is enormous. The buildings and advertisements look nearly photo-realistic from a distance, and they don't look bad up close either.

Tempest 2000 [10 von 10]
Tempest 2000 Written by cult favorite game designer Jeff Minter, Tempest 2000 is one of the most popular Jaguar games. Based on Dave Theurer's original classic, Tempest 2000 updates the original vector graphics with polygons, and features a pulsing soundtrack with trippy colors and effects.
